The page not only has all of the sites rules but also has a ton of good tips to make your blogging experience here much more enjoyable or at least more smooth.2018 NFL Power Rankings Week 2 Love them or hate them, Power Rankings are a popular discussion point on Tuesdays. We read them, we argue about them, we agree with them, we dissect them, we wonder why Team A is ahead of Team B when Team B just beat Team A, and we wonder why Team C who beat Team B is behind both Team A and Team B. It is definitely a normal part of Tuesday now.With that said, it is time to release my Week 2 NFL Power Rankings. I did not release my Week 1 Power Rankings last week - mostly because I put together the rankings on Thursday and by the time I was ready, the game had started and it was too late. That said, my Last Week rankings are included in the rankings below.At the topNothing should be surprising about the top of the rankings Christian Wilkins Jersey Womens , with the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, and Los Angeles Rams all in the top four, with no changes to the rankings from last week. The Jacksonville Jaguars round out the top five, moving up one position.The Green Bay Packers move three spots to claim the sixth position, while the New Orleans Saints fall two spot after losing at home. I feel like allowing 48 points at home should make a team fall more, but for this week, I kept it small and want to see what happens next week. The Kansas City Chiefs made a four-position move and are now eighth; I feel like this might be a little too high for the Chiefs, but I did not see them behind any of the teams close to them in the rankings, so we will see if they stay in this area for fall to just outside the top ten. The Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons round out the top ten, with the Panthers up two position and the Falcons, who lost to the Eagles, fall two spots.The MiddleAfter you get outside of the top ten, it feels like there are several teams that could quickly rise or fall as the season gets rolling. The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped four positions after a tie with the Cleveland Browns, while the Chargers are down two position after losing to the Chiefs. The Baltimore Ravens moved up one spot after a 47-3 victory Christian Wilkins Jersey Cheap , and I really wanted to see them move up higher, but with how the Bills looked, and even Baltimore Beatdown calling the game a “sixth preseason game,” I did not see a way to weigh that win as overly impressive. The Houston Texans move down one position after losing to the Patriots, more because the Ravens deserved to move up than anything the Texans did in the game.The Chicago Bears fell one position down to 16 after a one-point loss to the Packers. If they keep playing like they did in that game, they probably will start moving up the rankings quickly. The Denver Broncos moved up to 17th from 20th last week, while the Tennessee Titans fell one position to 18th. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers jumped six spots with their win over the New Orleans Saints; the only question here is whether or not Ryan Fitzpatrick can continue to play like that. The Washington Redskins are 20th after a three position rise, while the San Francisco 49ers are down to 21 after a loss to the Vikings, dropping three spots. The Dallas Cowboys then fall one position after a rather lackluster performance against the Carolina Panthers.Miami DolphinsRight in the middle of those “The Middle” teams are the Dolphins, who moved from 16 last week to 15 this week. I am probably higher on the Dolphins than most of the power rankings from outside the South Florida market, but I just never felt like this team was a bottom tier club. They feel like a middle of the pack team right now, with the capability to either explode or implode. Sitting in the 15th position seems fair.Dolphins 2018 high: 15Dolphins 2018 low: 16Biggest ClimbThe New York Jets jumped nine places this week, up from 32nd to 23rd. They demolished the Detroit Lions on Monday night, but Detroit did look really bad. I need to see more from the Jets before I am ready to skyrocket them any further.Biggest DropThe Lions dropped from 19th to dead last at 32. If you want to argue that the Buffalo Bills looked just as bad, if not worse, than the Lions Miami Dolphins Jerseys 2019 , I would consider it, but at least the Bills can decide at some point to get their rookie quarterback experience. The Lions are Matthew Stafford’s team and there is not a lot of change they can expect if he, and the rest of the team, continue to play like they did on Monday night.The RestThe bottom of the league did not see a lot of changes in terms of teams, other than the plummet from the Lions, but they did see some teams complete some jumps or falls. The Seattle Seahawks lost two spots, while the Oakland Raiders lost one, with the two clubs ending up in 24th and 25th, respectively. The 26th and 27th positions were claimed by last week’s 30th and 31st teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns - a tie for the Browns is not a loss, and they are rewarded for not losing this week. The New York Giants fall two positions to 28th, while the Indianapolis Colts remained the same in 29th. But he also has an additional second-round choice from the trade of volatile cornerback Marcus Peters to the Rams, and that means ample opportunity to get creative.“The fact we have a one and two twos, and then a one and two twos next year, puts us in a position to be aggressive from now until the start of the season,” Veach said. “Looking toward not just next season De’Anthony Thomas Jersey , but for the next two, three, four, five years, if you’re not proactive in your approach then you’re always chasing your tail.”Veach is one of the more open GMs in the league, willing to offer his opinion on just about any subject. For every piece of evidence we have suggests he has consistently led some of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.Last season he came onboard with Jon Gruden as his offensive line coach and assistant head coach. The Raiders offensive line, which was stocked with three Pro Bowlers and an All Pro and was a season removed from being arguably the best unit in the league, instantly plummeted to 25th in the league and got Derek Carr sacked a career-high 51 times.Meanwhile in Seattle, the unit that he left went from 31st in the league under him to among the best without him, helping to launch the Seahawks on an improbable playoff run despite seeming like they would have a down year.That offensive line in Seattle was never good in Cable’s time there. AJ McCarron/Josh AllenYes, the Buffalo Bills have the lowest ranked quarterbacks on this list as McCarron and Allen lack experience. We could very well see both guys under center for Buffalo as the adjustment period could be steep. However, head coach Sean McDermott knows he has a thoroughbred in LeSean McCoy and an opportunistic defense to support his young signal callers. The Bills defense finished seventh in the league in turnover differential so expect a heavy dosage of ground-and-pound.31. Josh McCown/Teddy Bridgewater/Sam DarnoldMcCown figures to have the advantage with Bridgewater and Darnold only a mistake away from being the 2018 New York Jets starter. The Jets are doing the right thing making Darnold earn the job. The former Trojan fits the mold of the new-age passer that can occasionally display the ability to scramble. It is not a matter of if he can start, but more so when?30. Tyrod Taylor/Baker MayfieldThe Cleveland Browns are on the brink of relevancy, but the first order of business starts at the most important position. Taylor is the perfect bridge-gap starter as he does not turn it over much (only 18 interceptions thrown). Also, he takes what the defense gives him as he has a career passing percentage of 62.4 percent. Lastly, the former Virginia Tech passer is good for 400+ yards on the ground as he has hovered or surpassed that mark since 2015. Mayfield Alex Erickson Jersey Limited , despite being the top pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, has his work cut out for the starting gig.29. Patrick Mahomes IIThe keys to the Ferrari were handed to Mahomes as he now assumes control of the Kansas City Chiefs offense following a trade that sent Alex Smith to the nation鈥檚 capital. He has to be salivating like he is waiting for cake as he looks at an offense that features three Pro Bowlers in Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. The addition of Sammy Watkins only makes that cake look much sweeter. A 3,500-yard campaign seems to be in line for young Mahomes.28. Mitchell TrubiskyTrubisky will have a full training camp and preseason in which he will be the Chicago Bears unheralded man under center. He started the final 12 games as a rookie in which he compiled 2,193 passing yards and seven touchdowns in an offense with marginal talent. He will have new weapons in 2018 with the likes of Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, and Trey Burton coming to town. With more talent, might we see an increase in productivity for the former Tar Heel like we saw in Carson Wentz? Maybe, but he has to reduce his propensity to turn it over as he had 17 total last year.27. Sam Bradford/Josh RosenHealth is a major concern for both of these quarterbacks and surveying the field behind an offensive front that gave up 52 sacks a year ago cannot be thrilling. Nevertheless, the Arizona Cardinals have two guys that are extremely smart with the football, will take what is available, and are even-kilt. Bradford is the incumbent, but Rosen has the tools to start too. The good news is one of them will have a chance to throw to the ageless wonder that is Larry Fitzgerald.26. Jameis WinstonYou just never know what you might get with Winston. He is a player that certainly has the skills to be higher on this list. Off the field, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization rave about him being a stand-up guy, but his latest suspension regarding an Uber driver in 2016 says otherwise. On the field, he is a player capable of throwing three touchdowns or three interceptions. Winston was supposed to improve a dismal Bucs squad upon his arrival Billy Price Jersey , but a record of 18-27 is hardly doing that.25. Blake BortlesBortles underwent refurbishing his image last year under head coach Doug Marrone. He went from a boom-or-bust player to someone that understands that taking care of the ball will win him games. It worked too. As a result, he helped guide the Jacksonville Jaguars back to the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Most wonder if he can get back to his 2015 form when he finished tied for second in the league in touchdowns (35). That year his numbers were inflated because his team was down big in a lot of those games. It is safe to say Bortles would rather win.24. Ryan TannehillTannehill, from 2013-2015, had quietly gone under-the-radar as a promising young thrower of the pigskin. He was eclipsing 3,900 yards and threw at least 24 touchdowns during that timeline with ease. He was having a fine campaign in 2016 until he got hurt and missed the Miami Dolphins playoff run. In 2017, the former Aggie did not even get to lace his cleats as he needed season-ending surgery to repair his ACL. At age 29, Tannehill needs to produce otherwise he could be at odds with a Dolphins front office that has put the roster through the wringer in the last year or so.23. Andy DaltonMuch like the Cincinnati Bengals, Dalton has been a bit of an enigma. He has an elite receiver in AJ Green, solid tight ends in Tyler Eifert and Tyler Kroft, and he has versatile backs in Giovani Bernard and Joe Mixon. Somehow some way, Dalton and the Bengals cannot put it all together. Dalton has been to the playoffs six times with ZERO wins to show for his efforts. Not to mention, the Bengals have missed the playoffs the last two years.22. Joe FlaccoMuch to the chagrin of many Baltimore Ravens fans, Flacco has struggled to right his wrongs after winning a Super Bowl in 2012. Flacco is just 38-36 since winning it all. The former Super Bowl MVP finished 2017 with 3,141 yards and 18 touchdowns which marked his lowest totals in a full season since his rookie campaign. It will be interesting to see how he responds to the team drafting Lamar Jackson.21. Eli ManningManning went three straight years with at least 4,000 yards and 26 or more touchdowns until last year. That is what people would call the aftermath of an Odell Beckham Jr. injury. Many thought the New York Giants should draft a quarterback in an attempt to push Manning towards an early retirement. The franchise鈥檚 brass did not budge as they believe the former Ole Miss standout will be just fine with a returning OBJ and the acquisition of the electric Saquon Barkley.20. Case KeenumThe journeyman Keenum enjoyed a successful year with the Minnesota Vikings as he orchestrated their run to the NFC Championship. The honeymoon phase did not last long as he was snubbed by his former team as they paid Kirk Cousins. He is everything NFL scouts tend to ignore as he is undersized at 6鈥? and not exactly fleet of foot. However, he is a fierce competitor. The Denver Broncos and Keenum are both looking to sucker punch teams this upcoming season.19. Alex SmithSmith keeps aging like fine wine as he enjoyed a career-high in passing yards (4,042) Cheap Sam Hubbard Jersey , passing touchdowns (26), and passer rating (104.7). He was traded from the Chiefs to the Washington Redskins who chose to ignore their former starter in Cousins. The quarterback carousel will make your head spin. Smith is good for taking care of the ball as he has not thrown 10 interceptions since 2010 and he still has the wheels to give defenses the chills.18. Jimmy GaroppoloGaroppolo is the only undefeated quarterback on this list as he is 7-0 in starts between the New England Patriots and the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners made it rain on Jimmy G as they entrusted him with a five-year deal worth 27.5 million annually. He displayed all of the skills of a player that was mentored by Tom Brady except the catch is that he is much more elusive. He built a rapport with Marquise Goodwin, Trent Taylor, and George Kittle in the late stages of the season. With Pierre Garcon returning from injury and the selection of rookie Dante Pettis, Garoppolo could successfully step out of Brady’s shadow. Big things are brewing in the Bay Area to say the least as Garoppolo is the centerpiece.17. Marcus MariotaMariota has the potential to rise up this list, but injuries have derailed him. He was a shell of himself last season as his passing yardage and touchdowns decreased while his interceptions hiked. The former Oregon stud looked tentative and unsure of himself, but it cannot be easy returning from a broken leg injury he suffered in 2016. Nevertheless, Mariota could be due for a stellar season with Rishard Matthews, Corey Davis, Delanie Walker, and the pass-catching back that is Dion Lewis at his disposal. Heck, maybe he will catch a touchdown from himself again.Shocked? Flabbergasted? Befuddled? Well, that is just the way the cookie crumbled here. Only Tyler Kroft was not retained and left for the Bills this offseason (and may not even play most of this season).Still lots of youth. Still lots of uncertainty. That’s why Drew Drew Sample was drafted. When the Bengals chose Sample with the 52nd overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, many were surprised to see him go off the board that early. In the month that’s passed, the Bengals have witnessed what makes Sample not just a great player, but a great fit for what they needed. Let’s take a look at the five main reasons why Sample will find a key role with Cincinnati. 1. Injury insuranceAs stated above, the Bengals have had terrible injury luck with their tight ends and they needed to take steps to ensure they had adequate depth. If this unit can stay fully healthy, Sample may not get very many snaps. If the injury bug continues to plague the position, then Sample will be asked to contribute early.2. Great blocking ability Long gone are the days of Reggie Kelly. The Bengals haven’t really had a great blocking tight end in recent years, and that’s what Sample does best. Coming out of Washington, Sample was arguably the best blocking tight end in the draft and he should be able to immediately be able to contribute in that regard. Yes, run blocking has naturally been devalued as the game has evolved, but if the Bengals want to run the ball better, the addition of Sample will definitely help. 3. Potential upsideWhile he was best known for blocking, you could make the argument that Sample was heavily underutilized as a receiver. His above average athleticism suggests he can be a more prominent option in the passing game. Just last year, the Seahawks were said to have over-drafted Sample’s former teammate in Will Dissly and he looked fantastic in his injury-shortened rookie season as a receiver. Sample’s athletic testing at the NFL combine should indicate he can become a better player than he showed to be in college. 4. Greater versatilityNot only does his blocking suggest he has a great ceiling as an individual player, but it shows Sample offers great versatility to the total offense. He can be used as a sixth offensive lineman or he can be used as a downfield receiver. His versatility can help keep the defense guessing and allow the Bengals to get chunk plays. He should also be helpful opening up holes in the run game William Jackson Jersey , even blocking out on screens for Joe Mixon and the Bengals other running backs.5. Potential Tyler Eifert replacementEifert is one of the leagues best receiving threats at tight end anytime he is on the field. The problem is he’s rarely on the field. In extending Uzomah for three years, some form of stability was established, but Sample provides additional future support at the position. Of course, if Eifert is not retained next year, the Bengals will need another player to potentially step up in his shoes. Sample may not become that caliber of player immediately, but he gives them an option. Overall, Sample is a good player with a lot of potential that should be better in the NFL than he was at Washington. Ideally, he would be given time to adjust near the bottom of the Bengals’ depth chart, and if luck is on their side for once, Sample can go through 2019 with a limited role. If Sample needs to play more and sooner than expected, his baseline ability should help him adjust.

The return of CB Aqib Talib sparked a change in Peters’ play though, and he went on to finish the second half of 2018 with a strong showing. Part of that can be attributed to playing more off coverage both in zone and man, and not needing to shadow receivers, instead living at his spot at right cornerback.Peters is currently on a fifth-year option that’ll cost the Rams just under $9.1m this year.
