Diablo II: Resurrected Public Test Realm To Launch Tomorrow Ladder Testing Coming Soon

Inflicting defeat on The Smith.Once players have entered the Barracks it is recommended to investigate the area until they come across the room which houses an NPC known as the Smith. This monster is extremely difficult to eliminate, and is protecting The Horadric Malus that is needed to complete the Tools of the Trade quest. Players don't have to kill the Smith to obtain this item for questing, as it is possible to kite him out from the area to provide an accessible path to Malus.

With the Horadric Malus on hand fans can head back to Charsi and get the reward in exchange for finishing Tools of the Trade. The reward is the imbuement that is given to a certain itemthat will grant the power of the item randomly to the gear piece. It's worth noting that players can only imbue one item this way which is why it's advised to keep it until later in the game, once they possess higher level gear before putting it into the Malus.

It appears Diablo II: Resurrected is moving ahead on some long-promised new features, as Blizzard has revealed that the game's Public Test Realm (PTR) will go live on April 1st. In the beginning, the PTR will be used to test new back-end server components, but Blizzard promises testing of the update 2.4 which, finally, introduces Ladder Play, is "coming shortly."
