Since entering the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted rookie free agent for the Buffalo Bills, Dangerfield fought his way onto the Steelers practice squad in 2014 and 2015. After spending the season on the Steelers 53-man roster in 2016, Dangerfield was injured for the first part of 2017 before landing back on the practice squad. He appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers in 2018, mainly as a contributor on special teams, logging over 300 snaps.
